So. How the hell does one get "picked up" at a bar. As I have never experienced this, and would dearly love to experience it... can you leave me some pointers?

agh! forgot to answer second question: i make it a point to look cute and happy most of the time, and this has not yet worked for me.
hmm. last time i was out, my straight buddy dragged my ass over to the cute butch in question and proceeded to try to explain that i thought she was cute, and i was actually femme, even though i happened to be dressed in drag at the time. fortunately, i was drunk enough that i didn't die of embarassment.
but i don't suggest this as the model for getting picked up. so, um, let me know if you figure it out. =D
