It's interesting you say that...I'm working on my Master's of Human Sexuality Education, and we've read a lot about langauge, and how many people are upset about the clitoris being refered to as a phallus.
On the other hand, when intersex children are born, they use a "phallometer" to determine whether they will "make" the baby a girl or a boy. A certain length = a penis, a smaller length = a clitoris. Anything inbetween in a "microphallus" (sometimes refered to as a macro clitoris...which sounds way more exciting).
Don't know where I was going with that, sorry, it's friday.
